I don't have a title to start today's entry, but who cares right? a blog's a blog. =)
Ultimate Tennis and Swimming Pool SprintsMonday saw me hanging out with Hans and Colin again, this time going up to the Suntec Staff Tennis and Swimming pool area to play tennis and go for a swim.

Not being used to tennis since the last time I held a racket was way back when I was 12, I wasn't used to the game and kept hitting it over the boundries, so Colin and I decided to go for some no-holds-bar tennis game where as long as the ball's on ur side, it has to go over the net, which resulted in a pretty darn good work out that also cost us 2 tennis balls that flew down to the main road below...oops =)
After awhile we checked out the swimming pool....I got myself a good 12 laps..not non stop though, still not THAT fit...sigh.
Han's couldn't really swim, so made up a "Run in water" exercise routine which later got us trying our hand at it, which I'm pretty sure got a lot of unwanted attention from the ppl in the pool...lol....hey it's not easy man, go try it some day and u'll know what I mean =)
Rockin it on Tuesday Morning, Afternoon and Evening
A bunch of us had to head down early to Suntec on tuesday for the press conference of the youth street festival which had us opening for the ceremony with a Yoyo routine that got us on the news, heck if I'm not wrong it's even on today's "Home" section(17th monday".

Though the yoyo performance did get quite a lot of attention, I must say the highlight for that day was this...

Cup cakes that had absolutely no "cake" and just chocolate mousse and cheese mousse like u'd get from a standard new york cheese cake.
And this...

Cause it was the holidays, the Art Outreach staff had organized a "Make a puppet" fund raiser where money donated would go to charity. Hans and I helped out for the first day, which saw us sitting at the tiny tables with kids teaching them(and ourselves at the same time...lol) how to make puppets with movable limbs. =)
but enuff of that, getting 2 guys who knew absolutely nth about puppet making was pretty much a potential disaster but everything turned out pretty cool =)

So in the evening, I had joined Zhirong and the guys down at Starlight's workshop for another teppanyaki grill again, this time for their friend who was celebrating her birthday....sorry I don't know her name...lol...I'm not sure why I was even invited, but heck.

This time round, we cooked mushrooms and bean sprouts, which was damn good, sth we should have done a long time ago but kept missing out on.
That said....think next time we'll keep in mind to buy those things the next teppanyaki session comes about. =)
Blowing $40 at a food fair. Now for those of you who know me, I love food, and if there's a fair in the honor of food, I'm there =)

So when Suntec had help a food fair last week from Wednesday, I couldnt resist, and went ahead to explore the place. =)

There were quite a lot of ppl on the couple of days I was there...yes, couple =)
So there wasn't much good food to begin with, but still, I had to check out some of the stuff, and bought myself these to try.

I think the most interesting thing I got to try was the QQ rice ball, which if you asked me was kinda over priced...$4.50, and even a nonya dumpling was more filling and cost less than that. =)
I have to say though, the reason why I hit $40 during my entire visit to the fair was probably because of these.

Peking duck! at $6 a packet, I still couldn't resist and bought 3 packets in total...YUM! How often do you get to eat peking duck...like the last time was in 2003 when I worked in Golden Peony...lol.
Money well spent? Hm...questionable...but then again how often does a fair like this come about? =)
Edward Sizzler Hands. So our class had organized a dinner meet at Sizzler's on Sunday, which saw about 14 of us showing up for the gathering.

Since I took a load of pictures, I'm not gonna write, I'll just post them =)

Yep, well I've pretty much come to the end of my post.
I'm gonna head out to the spinworkx shop at Suntec soon.
Cheerios ppl =)
