What will u be doing this Christmas???

So when the clock hits midnight tonight, it's the 25th of December...what will the bunch of you ppl be doing an hour before that???

Dining at a restaurant with family members or loved ones?
At a Party?
Down at the club?
At home watching TV?
Asleep?

Me? I'll be stuck down at Black Angus serving up dinner to guest who intend to sit through till midnight when the clock strikes 12.

I've never really been into festive holidays...I mean their fun and everything, but I'm not the sort to mark it down on my calendar and look forward to it.

Maybe it's the service line that's taken a toll on me. To me, festive holidays are reserved for working, currently, it means helping out at the restaurant which is in need of staff. Technically their like family to me, so yeah, some ppl see it as tiring, stupid and that I'd be better off going out, but to me it's just another day hanging out with the Black Angus crew.

Haha, yes I'm single!!! Yet, probably another reason why I dun really care about setting special dates and planning them.

Anyway....this week was yet another great week so to speak.

Monday was spent going to Takashimaya to grab a Christmas present for our class Secret Santa thingy...by thingy, I mean we pick from a bunch of names and see who we're secret santa to, then go get a present for them.

So yeah...thingy.

I bought a huge mug which I stuffed hot chocolate sachets in and wrap it up later at night in school. It was a really huge mug, and I wanted to buy famous amos cookies and fill the whole cup with it, but the queue at Wisma was so long I gave up bothering to wait.

Turns out on tuesday though, My friend whom I was secret santa to, was also MY secret santa...haha, so coincidence.

Sorry no pictures...I was too lazy to take snaps for the first few days of the week.

Wednesday.

I got to meet up with Eileen whom I've not met in what....3 years? Or was it 2? Anyway it's been awhile so we met up for coffee and chit chat, and yet another round at Taka getting gifts for her friends and cousin.
We had cakes at Bakerzin at Paragon though...2 of the staff that used to work at the branch at One Fullerton were there that day so we kinda got a discount...lol.
I'm not a sweet tooth person if I havn't mentioned that before. But as far as desserts come, Cheesecake it probably my highest choice if I were to ever eat desserts. None of that spongy stuff though, no no, I like the ones that are super creamy and thick, and have that huge crust at the bottom to chew on. I tend to prefer it plain....

No oreos cheesecake for me though...everyone's putting oreos in everything these days...don't get it...not interested. Haha.

Anyway it was great to hang out again after so long, she's really becoming quite the capable person indeed, and oh yeah she's the girl I mentioned who owns Kinxie-Land. So go check it out k??? =)

That evening though, my class was supposed to have a meeting to go clubbing down at St James, but in the end only 4 of us turned up.
St James was damn packed that night. I like clubbing, not because of the drinking, mainly cause I enjoy dancing, and St James was definitely NOT a good place to do so. Neither is MOS or Zouk for that matter. Plush closed down though, the place was spacious and there was a lot of room for everyone, but I guess it also meant that there were very little customers and so the club folded...sigh.
I have to say though, it was ladies night so I'm guessing that's why it's so packed...MOS is packed too, but u can still work with what little space you have...well sorta.
I'm not really into squeezy situations, but if you wanna dance and don't wanna do so at some dance company, then clubbing's probably the next best way.

Oh and I got drunk that night...first time, and hopefully the last. I'm not a drinker...I don't like drinking...social drinking...ok, but not like huge amounts or anything. My friend sorta gave me half a glass or Martell and masked the smell and taste with green tea so I didnt know. Next thing I knew I couldn't stand straight, horrible feeling I tell you...especially if your intentions of clubbing is to dance, not to get high...so drunk-andrew = can't dance...or stand for that matter.
Oh yeah...Jenny(Girl on the right, Kelly's the girl in blue) had a stalker while in the club...lol!!! Apparently she's always getting hit on by guys alot whenever she goes clubbing. Like I mentioned before, she's married though, so I really don't see the point for the guys trying, especially when her husband looks like someone out of a korean drama series...lol.

Thursday was a public holiday, which was spent having lunch with dad at Corpthorne Kings hotel.
It's not very often I get to hang out with my dad these days, so it was good for a change, plus eating out with parents normally means they pay for the food..haha.

I didnt do much on thursday though, I although I remember it sorta involves me lying on my bed watching countless hours of drama series before going out with my dad to Suntec for dinner again...lol.

Friday
I get an unexpected call from the utterly random bubbly girl who lives at the other end of Singapore.

Lynnette: Hey!!! Oh...oops did you just wake up? Sorry!
Andrew: I'm ok...its about time to wake up anyway...wassup?
Lynnette: What are you doing today? Wanna meet up for lunch?
Andrew - *looks at time...10:30am.
Andrew: Sure...where at?
Lynnette: Food For Thought!!! Wanna go?
Andrew: Ha...can...gimme awhile to wash up though...I meet u at...1?
Lynnette: Yep yep!!! 1 it is!

So we met up at Bugis for lunch down at Food For Thought, this restaurant I told you about remember?
FOOD FOR THOUGHT WEBSITE

It was closed for a private function though...BOOOO

So we went to the next best thing...Miss Clarity Cafe...haha.
Miss Clarity Cafe WEBSITE

If you're wondering what's with all the bubbly names and bubbly sorta restaurants. Lynnette's my good ol bubbly friend....she's the never-grow-up girl whom I've been friends with since Conrad...so most times an outing with her meant lots and lots of colorful stuff..haha.
It's fun though to hang out with the utterly random bubbly girl, definitely something different from the norm, better than clubbing any day.
Oh and I got a present from her too, sth she got me when she was in USA during her overseas exchange student thingy in Yale.
Haha isn't that the cutest keychain you've ever seen?

Ok maybe not for some of you, but hell it looks so damn cute!!! Short Stumpy little man.

Anyway lunch was REALLY GOOD, my second time there and I'm still dying to go back again....for the price you pay(which is pretty darn reasonable), the portions were generous.

After that we hung out at the Library awhile to abuse the massage chairs that were there...pressing random buttons on the remote to see what works and what doesn't.

It was reaching evening soon so it was pretty much time to go, she met up with her mum and I went down to Suntec to meet up with Colin at the Spinworkx shop(YES, SPINWORKX SHOP!) to upgrade my Macbook Pro from Tiger to Leopard OS.
I'm so glad about the upgrade!!! Only thing I didn't like was the new fan and grid format for opening folders at the "taskbar", which meant I can nolonger click it once to open the file, a lil annoying, then again shortcuts solved that so no biggie. =)

Friday night was BBQ down at Jenny's place where she and her husband had set up a korean style bbq for both sides of their friends to come down and chill out.
Sophie and her husband were there too, he's a chef by the way, so both husbands were set to work at the BBQ grill...lol!
Korean BBQ involves a lot of fatty meats though...kinda scary, really intimidating...but it was pretty nice for a change compared to grilled $1.20 hotdogs and crabsticks...be prepared for a lot of alcohol though.....ALOT...of which I only drank a lil of the sparkling wine I brought, and most of the time had Green tea or Coke.
Gosh I look pissed in the photo.

It's sad how fast time flew though, next thing I knew it was already nearing midnight so we left before 12 or the new taxi surcharge will kill you.

Saturday

Yoyo meeting down at the new Spinworkx shop at Suntec...yeah, apparently the guys are trying to set up a permenant shop to attract the crowd...well, no crowd though...but a slow steady flow of customers is still better than nth...plus I think they had a good deal with the rent so it was ok.
Don't be intimidated by the overly priced yoyos in the picture, that's cause they ARE overly priced, most yoyos don't cost that much so if you intend to get one, $20 more than enough...unless of course u're getting the $699 Freehand Magnesium...ouch!
The store's up at that kiddy area near Toys R Us so do come by and check it out, I'm not there though, I don't mend the shop...lol...it's open everyday by the way.

Sunday

I went back to work at the restaurant to help out since there was a lack of staff that night...but there was a lack of customers too so I left early...lol.

I did, however, end up going to the Airport to see Seo Joo off as she's heading over to USA to continue her studies at UNLV's main campus.
It's so sad to see a familiar face go off, we may never see her again unless we go to main campus to study as well..or if she comes back down during the holidays.

Departures are never a happy thing, their always full of tears and sadness, yet everyone in the pictures look so happy....haha.

K well she'll be missed....at least we still got MSN =)

Wow it's over an hour already...do I really dedicate that long to my blogs? Ack!

Lunch time, gotta eat. You guys have a Merry Christmas. =)

Cheers ppl!

Andrew
