Angels, Devils, IKEA, Tug of War, Deer Horfun, Zoids, Idian Born Chinese, Sitex, Noodles, Lynnette

What in the world right????

Anyway let's start by saying that this week was an AWESOME week....though the stresses of actually trying to complete our school project still looms among us every now and then, having done so many news things this week has made me feel really really happy =D

ANGELS & DEVILS

So if I havn't mentioned before, I'll mention it now.

Purchasing's a bitch, everyone hates it, well, not so much the subject, just that the lecturer who teaches it....I mean, who misses 3 lessons of Purchasing without early notice? Tat's $300 worth of lessons which we missed that we cant get a refund for...WTH right?

So what we do? We draw to show our disapproval of his lack of professionalism...DRAW DRAW DRAW!

How appropriate...haha!!!! Don't ask about the photographer at the side, it's an inside joke. =)

IKEA

Anyways Thursday I went down with Kelly and Andrea to Ikea at Tampines to buy stuff for our school project....I've never been to the one at Tampines before and ITS SO HUGE!!!!
Basically we took a lot of pictures which we needed for the school project and I was quite happy with the stuff I got....

What made me happier was when I had the chance to have lunch......at the Cafe!!
I know it's sinful and it makes me look like a glutton, but wahlau, once in a while man!!!!!
=)

The whole meal plus drink cost me like...$13.50??? That's a lot I know......sigh, better watch my cash flow.

TUG OF WAR
Ok so Friday Colin told me and some of the guys to go down for some audition for Chingay 2008 where our yoyo crew was to perform...sounds fine right? Only the ice breaker session was really awkward!!!
First came the "sitting in a circle and introducing everyone" session, which I accidentally for some odd reason said I was 24 when I'm 23 this year. then there was dancing which made it really awkward, but the funniest was the Tug Of War which was really amusing to watch, definitely one for the blog...lol.

DEER HORFUN

After the really awkward "bonding" session which felt sorta like some weird SDU hook up, we went for dinner, and I ordered Deer Horfun at this nearby kopitiam at Kallang MRT. I've really nth to blog about it, I just liked the picture I took of it....lol
I've been replacing a lot of meats recently with deer instead of pork or beef..maybe cause there's lesser fat, although I've heard it to be heatier...but nvm la. Deer meat's really good when done right if you ask me. really tasty indeed =)

ZOIDS

Remember that time I helped the chef at my restaurant build up a Zoid kingkong for her son for Christmas? I've been given the new task of doing up another zoid item, a Saber tooth tiger!!! Lol k la when I find time to do it I'll get it done, I made the legs and stuff yesterday, really interesting. =)

INDIAN BORN CHINESE

Saturday afternoon, I met up with Zhirong to go to the Red Dot Museum where they had a monthly bazaar which our friend Joshua was displaying his work as a Silversmith where he makes customised silver...cool huh?
The thing about Silver, is that because it's shiny, the camera finds it hard to focus onto it, so forgive me if the shots are blurred, but some of the stuff are WAY cool, although you'd probably won't really see me wearing the around...too hardcore for me...lol
Now we did got a bit bored at the bazaar though, and since Joshua was really good at mimicking the accent of foreign Indian workers, we filmed him explaining his products to us with his accent...haha

Note: this isn't meant to cause racist stir, I just think he's REALLY good at it, and thought it'd be fun to share, I personally have nothing against ppl of any color...that's just being an ignorant bastard if you ask me. =)

SITEX

So I went to Sitex with my cousin this morning to check out some stuff and supposedly get a Creative Zen which we ended up giving it a pass...the place was crowded, although I couldnt understand why, it was really dull inside btw.
Computer fairs seem to sell some of the weirdest things these days, and this caught my eye cause my friends Zhirong and the gang are really into R/C helicopters, well mainly the huge hobby ones but still I think they'd like buying one of these for keeps.

NOODLES

We had lunch at this noodle store just outside the exhibition hall........pretty good food, if you happen to be at Expo for whatever the reason drives u to go there, try it out, it's pretty nice, if not they have another outlet at Raffles Quay, sorry I dunno the name of the restaurant though, I forgot th write it down. =(
I had xiao long bao there which was pretty good too, not to mention the deep fried prawn balls with salted egg yolk in the middle....YUM!!! no pictures though, was too busy being hungry to take any shots =P

LYNNETTE

I havn't met this insanely unpredictable girl for a REALLY long time and was glad to be able to hook up with her today for dinner and to chill since we havn't done so in almost half a year.
Dinner at the Soup Spoon at Raffles City was really good, I liked the Tokyo Chicken Stew...although normally whne I think of stew, I think of thick semi-clear soups, this one was kinda clear, but still tasty nonetheless. =)

We later went back to my sch to study since she had an exam the next day and I had to do my project work...of course, she had to have a go at the glass board with a marker..lol
I totally forgot to take a picture of what she drew, lol...oops?

Anyway we had dessert later near bugis...before that we had a light snack though, yam cake was really nice, although I wished it was fried, but still the taste of yam and chinese sausage...YUMMY =)
We kinda had a cool table number to go by as well, cheesy i know, but hey how often do u get a table number liddat? Take picture loh........=)
The dessert wasn't very good though.....kinda...no kick? The white egg milk thingy was just.plain, not like the one I had in Hongkong, and the mango sago....was just...mango...ice and...sagoo. Ok i mean yeah what do u expect right? wasnt a very smart and interesting combination though......

Anyway the company was nice, so I guess it didn't mattered so much how it tasted. =)

THERE, I think I've covered every topic I wanted to cover for this entry...lol.

Well it's late, 1am to be exact

You guys have a good night's rest....cya =)
