Pretty Slow Paced...

This week's been pretty dull, then again life in the army isn't exactly the ideal place to have fun.

lol.

That aside...

I did hang out with Nikhil, Jerry and Kenneth at Ichiban Sushio over a Jurong Point on Wednesday Night.
The bill came to slightly over a hundred bucks, personally it was a little too much to pay considering the quality isn't exactly top notch, but what the hell...having company for dinner beats eating good food alone anytime. =)

I've been toying around with my Handycam for awhile now, and have always been a big fan of Macro shots but never had a camera that was good at it, until now. =)
Macro shots are basic closeup captures which are clear and really detailed even at such a close range.

You can find it in most of your cameras, it's the one with the flower function if you don't know it yet.

Anyway the 3rd picture u see looks like a sweet in a wrapper don't it?

It's actually a preserved scallop packed into a little plastic wrap.

Think of it as....scallop jerky. =)

It's sth you'd find in Hong Kong and was given to me by Cheng knowing that I'm a sucker for food...haha.

So weekdays were boring....weekends, ok la.

I got bored on Saturday and when the maid asked if I wanted to have lunch at home, I figured I'd did the cooking this time round instead.

Besides...I was bored and hadn't done any REAL cooking in awhile...instant noodles don't count.

So I looked into my fridge and cupboard

1. Shitake mushrooms
2. Oyster mushrooms
3. Left over Sausages
4. Fresh Tomatoes
5. Garlic
6. Onions
7. Bottle of Pasta Sauce

What the hell, so I figured I might as well cook spegs.

But I had no pasta, or button mushrooms for that matter, portebello mushrooms would be great but I wasn't cooking a gourmet meal, i was just making some sh*t-a$$ left over Speg.

So I went down to the supermarket and got me a box of fresh button musrooms, some Parmesan Cheese, frozen breaded fish and 2 packets of No-Frills Spaghetti.

Funny thing about no-frills brand, there's nothing wrong with them!!! I really don't see the point in ppl avoiding them just because their...sorta brandless. Take the pasta for example, it contains the same ingredients as the branded ones, for alot less!!! Plus it's still durum wheat so it won't really make a difference.

Besides..it's not the food that counts, it's the cooking. =)
Seriously though, I LOVE COOKING!!!

I just hate cleaning up.

So my left-over pasta turned into a mix of both left overs and a lil bit of fresh stuff.

Gotta pop tomatoes in, no matter what, fresh tomatoes will kick ass compared to bottled pasta sauce any day. =)

Saturday evening saw the final display of the fireworks show down near the floating platform where NDP was held.

It was really packed with ppl and the rush for food at Black Angus was terrible!!!

I took a shot with my phone, bad resolution, but it's just to let u have an idea of what kind of crowd we were up against.
No no, the seats are only empty because everyone went out to watch the show.

Me? I just stayed indoors, I'm not really into fireworks, like Cheng said, you'd only go if a girl asked you to...haha how true.

Besides, since fireworks are only arranged by the Government, to me it's like seeing your government taxes literally blowing up in a blaze of glory.

*sigh*

Oh, Bernice and Denise came down to the Black Angus to visit that day, after so long, still look the same, except one's kept much shorter hair now.

I forgot to take pictures with them, partly because I forgot, and because I was busy scaling the heights of a bar refrigerator to hook up a dvd player to the restaurant's plasma TV.

K so it was less than a meter tall...fine.

Anyway the two girls brought drinks since the staff found time after work to whip up oven-baked chicken wings which were so spicy, but tasted so damn good!!! I love spice, my body just can't take it...I can enjoy a hot bowl of laksa, and be sweating all over like it was raining, but I don't mind!

Boy I'm so bummed out right now I've got no mood to write.

I'll stop here for today then, too much words, so little pictures.

U guys have a good week ahead, I'm a go take a shower.

Cheers ppl. =)

Cannot agree you more regarding the taxes being 'blown' off with the fireworks. Now I know where the extra 2% GST goes too. Haha..

Btw ur pics looks widescreen huh? The result of using ur HD video cam huh?
