Do you remember my previous post...you know...the one...

....that wrote about how I would only queue up for Donut Factory Donuts only if I'm REALLY BORED?

Lemme jog your memory...

Entry - REJOICE!!

"I only got a bite.ONE BITE. But a bite worth having indeed, these donuts are FILLED inside, yum!!!!!!! I'm no sweet tooth freak though, still a big fan of all things savory. Me? Queue for one of these? Only if I'm really bored...=)"

Yeah.......only if I'm really bored....about that...

Erm...heh heh....yeah....

K so I wasn't exactly bored or anything, I'm off today(monday) and so I told myself yesterday night that if I'd woken up in time to make it to Raffles City to join the early queue and grab me some donuts, I'd do it.

And I woke up at 8:49am....thus, I can't go back on my word now can I?

Plus I didn't wanna waste my morning sleeping my ass off when I could have easily done that in camp. =)

Let's see now...what did I buy...

There's
5x Cheese Tartar (tar tar filling inside)
3x Double Chocolate (chocolate filling inside)
3x Hazelnut Milk Chocolate
3x Glazed Donuts
3x Spicy Cheese
3x Peanut Dark Chocolate
3x Peanut Butter Glazed (peanut butter filling inside)
1x Orange White Chocolate

Ya so people tell me to buy variety but I figured theres no point buying something you don't like...that and my accidental order of 5 Cheese Tartar by mistake when I could have picked something else. =P

So I got out of the house and took a bus down to Cityhall and reached the shop at 10:45am...as you can see I wasn't first in line...DUH...but it wasn't that bad, considering the fact that in just half an hour later the line behind me started to get REALLY long.

So I haven't touched them yet...I'd probably bring it into camp and let the guys in bunk try it....I've got a friend who kept raving about Krispy Kremes and how good their donuts are...you have to take his word for it, after all, it IS USA's number 1 Donut chain. =)

Anyway back to the entire week...which started out really slow...I went bowling with Herwan, Ilyas and Vineet on a wednesday evening...one round was more than enough.

I haven't bowled in ages, so I was really rusty(then again I don't even practice bowling...lol), but hey all was fun, Vineet had to leave early though so we stopped after one round.

Like the panoramic view?

No? Neither did I...the lighting was bad and inconsistent, plus I didn't get the alignment right..oh well.

Right...weekdays...not that fun...my weekend got a lil better though.

The yoyo club moved to Vivo City, so I went down on saturday to have a look.

Thing is, the place is DAAAAMN hot...and EXTREMELY HUMID!!!

2 minutes outside, and my hands got clamy and sweaty, I couldn't play much...

THUS, the club has not moved to a new time slot at 5pm next saturday...if this becomes official...it'll probably mean no more me for the next few months until I ORD...other commitments in the evening...sigh. =(

ANYWAYS...the yoyo club wasn't the only thing I did during the weekend.

I went down to Esmail's work place at Thai Express in Plaza Singapura to catch up with him and got him to try out the Xmod with my Grado SR80s.

Apparently I didn't know he was into Audio stuff, just like how I didn't know he was into RC stuff when I too played them and bumped into him at a shop one day, 3 years after not seeing him since I stopped working at Black Angus in 2001 due to School commitments.

Anyway I REALLY REALLY LOVE how well my Grado SR80 Syncs with my Xmod.

Some will tell you it sounds fake...but too me, if I'm convinced, I'll take it.

And it took me a short movie and trailer sample, plus a 128 kbps MP3 live performance
soundtrack to convince me that the 3d surround sound WORKS...it really made me feel like I was there...wicked piece of equipment.

Of course, going to a restaurant without eating would be nonsense wouldn't it? So I got myself a bowl of Seafood Green Curry, which later came along with a plate of Fried Squid(no not calamari) and a drink compliments from Esmail.

...actually he basically com the entire meal, but I dropped a $10 tip when he wasn't looking anyway.

So yeah...that's basically what went on during the past weekend.

MONDAY...so as you know I went to get me sum donuts...after which I walked around Cityhall area to find a place to eat.

I didn't know how much attention you'd get carrying 2 boxes of donuts when you're walking around town.

One lady asked if she could buy a box from me...YES SHE DID!!! OH NO YOU DON'T!!!

I even went shopping at John Little for *ahem*Boxers*ahem* and a sales assistant asked me how long I took to get my donuts and if there were anywhere else I could buy them from.

When I walked the streets, people turn their heads and look down at the two boxes in your hand, then look up at you with those eyes...you know...the ones that say "that bastard actually waited in line???"...sometimes you also get those eyes that say "Wow...this guy actually did it, I could never do that!"...

Then there was this one guy who gave me a look that said "man another nut who's following the trend of food chasers...what a retard..."

Yeah...I waited 1 hr before the stall opened, and it took me another hr to reach the main counter...you see, it's times like this having a Creative Zen Vision really comes in handy...lol..and 3 shows plus a lil more waiting later, I got what I came for. =)

Anyway Lunch came at 2pm, where I finally decided to eat at Bab Noodle at Millenia Walk after browsing through the many places to eat at Citylink, Marina Square and Suntec...I was hungry, but I couldn't make up my mind.

I really didn't like the beef noodles I had, I just didn't wanna keep choosing anymore...I was in a damn choosy mood about my food today...I enjoyed the Century Egg and cold tofu though...mmmmmm...Century Egg...never understood why the westerners are so afraid of it.

3:30pm!!!

What to do next? Go home and slack? I don't wanna waste my day man.

So I sat down at Starbucks in Millenia walk and got myself to work on my Expense Chart...something my dad has been doing for 10 years and I figured I might as well start seeing how much I'm spending and what the hell I'm spending.

And NOOOO...I'm not gonna show you my expenses for crying out loud!!! ppppfffffttt!!!

But after 2 hours of sitting around, getting the chart done, I finally got up, packed my stuff and took a bus home.

Which leave me just about enough time to have dinner, take a shower and write this blog.

YEAH...well I gtg pack my things for camp...less than 3 more months...WOOHOO!!!

Cheers people.

Andrew
