After lunch, I joined Jasmine, Paul, Eve and Adrian at Pacamara for coffee, and yes I was there the day before with the Tier. It was a new joint they wanted to try and since B&B was on a one week break, we decided why not.
Coffee was then followed by a search for lemon tarts, Eve had a craving and so the bunch of us traveled to two locations to try out what's available.
The tart at Loysel's Toy wasn't something I'd like. The lemon was ok, but the base was too soft, kinda lacking in texture for me. It was almost like eating an old person's dessert. I would have prefered a bit more crunch in the base.
The second place was Bloomsbury Bakers, the bunch of us shared a quiche, a lemon tart, and an apple crumble.
The base here is a lot better. The filling was good, no real complaints there, texture was more important for me and I thought they nailed it. If there was something I could probably want more of, it would be a bit more filling to crust ratio, but apart from that, a good tart. =)
Dinner was like Deja Vu, back at New Ubin Seafood again! The original plan was to eat at Grub Noodle Bar but we changed locations at the last minute. Good food as usual, I really find the steak here to be rather good, heck even better than some steak houses you would go to if you wanted steak. ^.^
Overall an evening full of eating, glad to have done it but now it's time to cut down. =P
