Thanks to May's planning, a bunch of us met up on Friday evening for a meal at Geylang Claypot Rice in celebration of Neo's birthday.
The last time I was here was during AP when we brought the Japanese, Taiwanese and Hong Kong contingent down for a good meal.
We managed to get a large table indoors where it was air conditioned and ordered up a few of their signature dishes which included their pork ribs, french beans, tofu, beancurd skin and of course, their clay pot rice.
I think while Neo was expecting a meal, he didn't expect cake at the end of it, which May had brought earlier to the restaurant to have it chilled before hand. So much effort put in to making her fiance a happy fella, and you can certainly tell from the smile across his face that he was really enjoying himself that evening.
