Beach Day with the NB Runners

So it's been 2 years since we had a decent outing to the beach as an entire NB Runners family. The past few have been a bit hard to plan, and frankly this one took a bit of effort as well given the short time span, but after a bit of help, we managed to gather a bunch of runners who were free on Monday to head down to Sentosa for a day of sun, sand, see...and haze.

Thankfully though, it wasn't all that bad, and still way better than being met with rain which I was hoping would not hit, thank goodness.

Unlike our usual smaller group gatherings, this was sort of an open NB Runners invitation, and hence we had a few fresh faces join us this time round, from Branson to Ray, to Meng Kiat, even Archer and family and more. I thought it was a good idea since we hardly get to mingle with some of the runners we only say "hi" to during runs. Our last NB Open gathering was probably during last year's BBQ at Eve's aunt condo? Gosh, so long ago.

Overall, I think everyone had fun that day, if you had to be bored, it's better to be bored outside than to be bored at home eh? Luckily everyone had their own activities sorted out, and everyone had a good time that day.

We ended things at Vivocity where Edmund, Kelly, Lusi and Ri Chao joined us for dinner after their own long day of work or activities. The plan was the food court but it was so packed, we switched to plan B. It was my first time at Kim Gary and the food was pretty ok, nothing spectacular but no complaints either.

Monday had turned out to be an awesome day, I'm really glad to have been part of it, and more importantly I'm glad we got to know a few runners better along the way.

So when's the next outing already? =P
