Cake Day/Week

Birthdays, not my thing, I enjoy sharing it more than receiving, but this year has been a pretty interesting one, starting with a Birthday surprise for Leslie that also turned out to be a birthday surprise for me at New Balance.

Second celebration came in the form of dinner with the Tier 0, including Calvin who also joined us since we hung pretty often these days what with Krav Maga classes and all.

Dinner at Hai Di Lao was quite an interesting one, I have not much to say about the food, it was decent steamboat, but I was really impressed with the service, I understand from Colin that it was one of the draws of the place, and I have to admit it really leaves you with a good impression. =)

Another appointment was one with some of the friends from Uni, Chin Ya, Danielle, Germaine, Ferlina and Tammy.

It's been awhile since I met up with any of my classmates and so getting to chit chat over food was quite an experience, thanks Chin Ya for the awesome recommendation, this little place called the Waterloo Times.

Then came the surprise on Thursday after my run where I rushed over to Spinworkx cause Hans wanted to show us something.

Turns out it was not just any "something", but a Grain Theory Kendama they got me for a birthday along with the Herringbone camera grip strap. The Grain Theory is by far the rarest kendamas to get a hold of at the moment, and Hans stayed up really late to get one, wow!

To return the favor, I decided to host a dinner on Sunday for the guys, I've been wanting to do this for awhile but haven't had time to plan, I guess it was perfect timing since everyone was free and so was I, so what the heck right? Birthdays celebrations aren't always a celebration of self, but a celebration of happiness, so what better way than to be happy chilling with good folk?

It's been a long but awesome week, thanks everyone for the surprises, it wasn't really necessary, but I really appreciate the gesture. =)
