I had a conversation with an older lady during tea time at yesterday's seminar on one of the topics which was being discussed in the slides.
I gave her my views on the things and after awhile, as we were about to head back into the auditorium, she turned to me, smiled and said "You're a young man and thus have a lot to learn, it's good that you have an optimistic outlook on things, though be careful because reality isn't all that bright, but I wish you well."
I use to think people with such views must have gone through a lot in life to be unable to look at it from a positive perspective, but ultimately, it's up to them and how they want to approach life. Yet yesterday I paused and gave that comment a lot of thought.
I don't have a conclusion to her comment, but for the first time in my life, I didn't shrug off that opinion like I usually would, and it has been simmering in my mind even till now...

There is no need for you to give in to her thought.
I hope I don't, I guess it caught me off guard and made me think for quite a bit.
