MTB Trailing at Mandai

Went mountain biking this morning to clear my mind and joined Elvin and Winston who were keen on a quick in and out. Winston had been on cough syrup and so wasn't in the best condition to ride, hence we took it slow.

This time to play safe, we did something simple, Chestnut to Mandai and back.

The rain for the past few days seem to have taken a toll on the place, I think we must have climbed over at least 3 fallen trees, maybe 4!

At the turning point we were greeted with two riders, one of which who was also a Giant rider, who stopped to ask if he could snap a few photos of Elvin's bicycle.

To Elvin, the bike was just your usual old "beater" but I guess to the Giant enthusiast, it looked like this.

It's worth noting that Winston had once again modified his bicycle, this time adding in a new fork, plus he had a mid suspension on the way which he;s also looking to replace!

I understand from him that this was just "phase 1" and that he might even switch a frame by the end of the year....!!!!!!!

The guy's really enthusiastic about riding though, he's lost weight since and now his shorts can't hug him as tight as they use to, he even rides with another group of people and I understand he'll be riding with Chee Ho tomorrow again.

All in all a good ride this morning, not as long as I'd want it to be, but considering Winston wasn't feeling too well and I didn't want to drag till too late, an hour plus was decent. =)
