Safari Zoo Run 2012
1st event run of the year, 2nd time joining an event run, third if you consider my Safra Bay Run when I was in the army (which we were "encouraged" to join...lol).
Overall a fun run, the weather was fantastic compared to last year's POSB run, and music definitely helped set the mood. It was crowded and so even though it wasn't the best place if you're the sort looking to set a PB, it was rather motivational when you pass a runner step by step.
Got a good shot taken (thanks We Shot Your!) nearing the end.
One thing I did enjoyed about this run was that it was a no-pressure run, rmb how I mentioned though I avoid competition, I get competitive once I'm in it? The first km of crowded runners was enough to stop me from considering speeding up, though I did open pace at the last 1km while tuned to the beats of...er...Lady Gaga (Bad Romance Chew Fu Remix).
What I did enjoy more, was the joy of being in a run where you knew the other runners too, and their presence was sort of a mental support for one another - this was what I had previously mentioned at the end of my "Live to Eat" blog entry regarding event participation.
Definitely a good run yesterday =)
