Bike Run: Home-Scape-Home

Was planning to cycle to Scape today for the New Balance run but fell rather sick and totally missed the timing, waking up at 6:30pm, 15 minutes before the run started!

Decided to call it off and stay at home to eat.

Felt lazy for not doing anything the whole day (apart from cooking in the morning)...so to make up, I went for a bike ride instead, something less intense than running overall.

Looking at the mileage I've clocked, 27km in total's pretty badass...if I knew earlier I should have picked up riding to work more often, especially since I took less time reaching work than I did on the bus...ok la factor in a quick shower at Scape (if I had known there was a shower earlier) and I'd say the timing would have been about there, but at least I would have had a workout. =)

Try to reconsider your perception of a workout.

If feel like coming down with something, reduce intensity. If wait until really down then you reduce intensity, it will be too late and it is not helping your body to recover.

It will be LPPL even though you feel you had a good workout.

Get well soon!

Yesterday's run was the mistake I think, shouldn't have sprinted that fast, so technically yesterday's mistake resulted in my flu hitting me rather bad in the morning.

The long bed rest helped a lot and I felt a lot better in the evening, hence the ride. Low intensity exercise during recovery is alright right?

Thx for the well wishes =)

Low intensity during recovery depends on how sick you are.

Long bed rest is the only way to fight flu because thats when the body can repair. Not advisable for any form of workout when your flu is at its peak (1st day!).

Drink more water and you should be well soon.
