One thing I had forgotten to factor in (and lazily assumed would be a standard) when buying the Galaxy Nexus was the sound quality of Sammy's phones.
The Galaxy S1 has some seriously good audio, I thoroughly enjoyed them, and for the most part, was not aware that they were actually among the best in the market, touting a Wolfson audio chip which apparently was audiophile grade...wow!
When I first got the Galaxy Nexus, I was pretty impressed, sound didn't change much, quality was rather on par as to what I could hear, and though audiophiles will cringe at the though of equalizers, I'm fine with it, and thought the inbuilt one by the Nexus to be pretty awesome!
Apparently with a lower end Yamaha audio chip in the Galaxy SII, sound quality was underwhelming compared to the SGS1, which was a disappointment to quite a number of people.
The G.Nexus, however, uses a Texas Instruments audio chip, and a good one at that, which is a relief to know or else I would have been rather disappointed if the sound was rather muddled. Read somewhere that the iPhone 4S also uses a pretty solid audio chip too, which is great considering the older iPods didn't have really good audio and relied on the 30pin connecter out to a portable amp to bring out its quality...I remember my first iPod I got second hand from Colin's Godfather, Jan. It was cool, and hype, but I thought the Creative Zen Vision had better audio quality.
Looks like this is one additional factor to consider when the SGSIII comes out since I do take audio into consideration.
