If you've got some time to spare, check out the short documentary on the making of the Nokia Lumia.
Apple's design has always been paramount, and with regards to software+hardware integration, they've been nothing but stunning. Google has collaborated with HTC and Samsung for their pure Android phones but while they've made good phone interfaces, it seldom compliments its hardware the way Apple has pulled off.
On a google phone, you still see the OS as an OS...and the phone as a phone. You do not really relate the two of them as one entity the way you do with the iPhone.
Just like Android, WinMo is available on different handset manufacturers, and just like Android, their OS and Hardware feel slightly disconnected. The Nokia Lumia 800, on the other hand, looks like it was made for WinMo, and the documentary above is a good example of how Nokia has managed to reach a level of software+hardware integration Google has yet to achieve with it's Nexus line.
I'm not sure about Windows Mobile to be honest, but base on aesthetics alone, I'd say this is on par with the Apple iPhone.
1 up Nokia!
