The whole hardware-sell is just not working, and even when Apple does it, they do it smart, adding in the emotional element to keep you connected to their ads (like the one about their retina display).
The new commercial by Google is so much better than the previous one...and yes that's because it's like an Apple commercial. Nothing wrong with copying, Apple isn't the first to connect their product with the viewer through emotional context, I'm just glad Google finally see why it's important to do so.
Better yet, proper instructions are now available as well for new users to make use of the features Android has to offer.
Now all they have left to do is to make Android.com a consumer site rather than waste it on being a developer-friendly page.
