Seems like a few days ago Google noticed that with the new iCloud calendars, Google sync with iCloud users had resulted in some having their entire iCloud calendars wiped out. To prevent that, Google turned off it's sync request for the time being to prevent a whole bunch of iCloud users from losing their data while Apple works on a fix to solve the syncing between it's calendar and google.
For the time being, might as well export my ical calendar notes I've made after the sync stopped, and upload it to google's web calendar....also removed and added back my google account on iCal just in case.
Will make appointments through google's web calendar and my phone for the time being.
