Sleep As An Droid

Being one who constantly find myself waking up all disoriented, fumbling out of bed as I rush across the room to turn off my traditional bell alarm, I thought maybe waking up to something more comforting might work since Colin's tried it and I had another friend told me about it as well.

Downloaded the trial version (There are like 10+ sleep cycle apps that do the same thing, almost all of them have a 14-30day trial, so technically if you download 12 apps with 30 day trials, you need not download a paid version for a year...haha but seriously its just SGD$1.50-1.80) and gave it a go.

How good is it? TOO GOOD. I find myself waking up around the timing I want, but for the past two nights I wake up so comfortable, I simply walk over to my bell alarm, turn it off before it rings, and go back to bed...

...skipping my run.

It's a great app because it works, but if you're like me who can't discipline myself to get out of bed, and usually don't get affected by bad days because of a bad wake up call, something more abrupt, like a bell alarm would do the trick.

If not, I'd highly recommend it. =)

Back to the comment about the trial versions. I notice one thing as an Android user is that you are generally blessed with a lot of free apps, or have enough versions of the same trial app (as seen above) that you technically don't have to pay, or wait for someone to make a free version (I recall one that's free, the paid just doesn't have ads thats all).

Like said, great from an end user stand point, probably not the best thing if you're a developer intending to make money out of developing apps...you might want to go to Apple instead.
