Hong Kong Day 2

Day 2 would probably be the longest day in HK so far. From waking up in the morning, running 10k and getting lost, to walking around HK to sight see, and then meeting the HWY guys later at night to hang and chill!
I think one thing that I was quite appreciative was that HK too has art in its MTR, though less "in built art" and more "art installations" art, I guess everyone figured that something to look at besides an advert that's trying to sell you stuff is always refreshing.
Cause Xinn's parents never got to see the Peak, we headed up again this year to check it out, and while we were there, I figured we could go to Madamme Tussauds Wax Museum to check it out.
The bad thing about going to HK in June is the weather, it's terribly hot!!! The good thing though, is unlike the last trip, the sky's clearer on top of the Peak...too bad we didn't take a couple photo though. =\
Lunch at Yung Kee this time was better than the last. We went there in 2010 thinking that the way to go was to order Dim Sum, only to find out later that the place was famous for roasted goose instead!
Armed with this new found information, we headed back this year to give it a try. Gosh the roast goose is damn good!!!!!!! The meat was pretty tender and not pungent, and the skin was so crispy you could just grow fat eating it and probably not feel any guilt cause it was worth it!
Not wanting to skip trying the dessert at Sweet Dynasty, we brought Xinn's parents to the restaurant to try out their famous silken beancurd and had a little bit of dim sum. This time round we bought a tub, and Xinn and I ended up struggling to finish the darn thing...it's a lot, but we were greedy and just wanted to have a tub at the table for kicks...=P
I didn't get to shop much that day, but Xinn managed to check out the lomography store she's been wanting to see since the last time round...cool place!
Dinner came when we managed to meet up with the HWY crew on Hong Kong Island, Yi Chen and Shirley were also on vacation and happened to be in HK a day earlier than we were, so we met up with them as well and joined the group for some local grub at a popular restaurant in the neighbourhood area.
After dinner we hung out a bit with the guys at the Hong Kong University where they now chill and play...I didn't want to stay long cause I was afraid babe might get bored, so we stayed for about an hour, and later scooted for dessert.
We headed back to the dessert place I went to back in 2008 when the HWY guys brought us there. I figured it's something Xinn liked and Yichen and Shirley might want to try since it was their last day there.
By the time we were done, it was 11:45pm, and a quick walk home meant that we tucked in at around 1am after a quick shower. Gosh!!! I think I was so tired I knocked out cold and woke up really late the next day.

At least it was a day well spent =)
