First time checking out an Art Outreach lesson in action. Pei Tong was near my house and since I was assigned to go take a few extra snaps for work, I join Yahui and Elizabeth, along with a new volunteer to check out the place.
Not surprisingly, I bumped into one of the kids from our yo-yo workshops (kid in black glasses in the fifth picture), he'd previously told me he was studying here so it wasn't much of a surprise. I was afraid he'd get distracted and start talking a lot and not listen in class, but I was pretty impressed that he paid attention to the teacher most of the time....either that or maybe I'm not that interesting to talk to anyways. lol
Getting to try out the 30mm lens was pretty fun, I'm starting to like it a lot, still need to work with it a bit, but I'm rather satisfied with the shots, I had to jump between this and my 18-135mm though cause at times I did need range, and couldn't get it. Pictures seen here were cropped.
I'm actually relieved that some of the shots I like still came from the 18-135mm, at least I'm not leaning entirely towards the prime and still enjoy having a bit of zoom option with my shots.
Fun lesson today, class was really attentive, naughty some times, but overall a ball to hang around with.
Great experience! =)
