Inter-Racial

I just found out (quite late actually) that Seagate has a hybrid hard drive which claims to provide near SSD working speeds, at a fraction of the cost.
S$185 for a 500gb that comes with 4gb of SSD. Supposedly, the more frequent you use a program the hard drive will begin to store key functions into the SSD allowing you to work faster on it...think of it as a 4gb cache instead of a 32mb or 64mb cache.

It's kind of similar to what the earlier rumors of the MBP having an internal solid state memory to help boost performance, but this one has it onto it's hard drive on its own.

The benchmark tests results are pretty impressive

Good news is that it works pretty well on Macs too, not just Windows

Check the long boring review below if interested...the first run wasn't so impressive since the drive was learning it's applications, but the second boot onwards saw increases in speeds of up to 3x in performance.
