Honestly though since Android already allowed wireless tethering, and all those goody functions which you can only get with a jail broken iphone, rooting an Android was kinda pointless.
The cosmetic upgrades though are pretty slick, better notification, better user options, slicker lock screen options.
Performance wise, since the galaxy s lags quite a bit, the lagfix bumps it up tremendously, which is great! Then again time will tell if the phone will deteriorate through usage.
