Wendy's...

If depression had a face, this would be it:
At last, Man's answer to "What your last meal on Earth shouldn't taste like"

So yesterday evening after doing a bit of work at Colin's office, we headed out for dinner and I suggested Wendy's since it was apparently back and located at Lau Pasat.
Since I figured I probably won't have time to go down again given my schedule, I ordered a bit more than usual, adding Chicken Nuggets and Chili to the mix.
First up were the nuggets, they were small..small like..."Auntie, the nasi padang shop selling 3 nuggets for $1 has nuggets bigger than yours" kinda small.

Taste wise granted it wasn't bad at all, I liked it...for awhile, it reminded me of KFC's nuggets actually, now THOSE I miss for some odd reason even though they arent juicy whatsoever.
The next thing I sunk my teeth into was the Chili they sold. Somewhat similar to Carl's Junior, their Chili didn't stand out much, it was just...regular chili, tasted rather processed though.....but then again its mass produced, what to expect right??? In Comparison, A&W's chili on their Chili Dog tastes better in my opinion.
The next came Wendy's famous square-patty burger...you know, the one in their pictures
Looking like a million bucks, their burgers looked wholesome and bursting with good flavors.
Can't say the same for the actual product.

Granted Mcdonalds, KFC, Burger King etc, don't have burgers that look anything close to their pictures, Wendy's was just depressing...DEPRESSING! My Square Patty wasn't even stacked right...look at me, complaining about how the pattys are stacked!!! But then again, why make square patties inside ROUND buns??????
Even close up, pictures couldn't do justice to this burger, which was bland......OH SO BLAND.

A Whooper would probably pack more taste than Wendy's burgers.

Ronald Mcdonald would grab the pony-tailed girl by the hair and smack her upside down for producing such a burger....yes, Ronald, the clown who can't even make a decent cheese burger either, at least they make it cheap enough so you hardly complain about them.
My billed totaled to this, cause of the additional I had ordered.

Overall the meal was very unsatisfying, too normal, without anything attractive enough to pull one back for more.

Colin and I were left very emo after dinner, instant noodles would probably have been more satisfying.

Located at Lau Pasat, the epicentre of decent local food, it's hard to see how Wendy's is gonna survive here in Singapore.

So if you ever feel hungry and in need of a decent burger to chew on, head down to Burger King and grab a Mushroom Swiss Double, and be glad that you made the right choice not going to Wendy's.
