I've been eyeing R-Burger since Ion opened for quite some time now, the concept seemed pretty neat, plus their burgers look super yummy from the pictures (I'm a sucker for good presentation).

When I finally convinced myself to buy one and eat the other day though, I was quite turned off to be honest.

First up, their tofu+chicken nuggets was super bland, and sinking my teeth into it made me realise I was biting into more tofu and almost no chicken at all!

Their salad roll was ok, then again, how bad a chef are you to screw up a salad roll ya??? It's just chopped vegetables, served with wasabi mayo.

Of course, the highlight was their R-Burger, which I got, that came with a chicken patty served with some special teriyaki sauce, radish and what not, all wrapped inside a kong-ba-bau style bun.

I didn't like the burger at all, the patty was just soft, mushy, almost like a paste texture, mix that in with the soft texture of the bread, and you can't even tell what you're sinking your teeth into. All you feel is a mixture of mush with salt swirling as you chew on it, you can't even separate the bread texture from that of the patty, disappointing. =(
To make matters worse, cause raddish is hard in nature, the only thing you'll find yourself bitting hard into is that vegetable, that's it, a mouthful of mush, with an occasional crunching of raddish.
I think they gotta rework their patty if they want this to work out, cause honestly...
It's Crap.
