Noodles from Lavender Food Center

Seldom would you see me chowing down yellow noodles, be it the thick or thin variant.

The ones at Lavender Food Center, on the other hand, is DOPE!!! That is, their mee kia.
Thing about the Wonton noodles, is that the uncle actually does the whole hot-cold technique, cooking it quick, then taking it out and plunging it into a bucket of cold water, then taking it out again, back into the heat, out once more, plunge, and into another bucket of water to rinse.

The result is really springy noodles that are damn nice to chew on!!!
Their other ingredients, however, weren't so good. The Dumplings were ok, the Char Siew was mediocre...well it wasn't roasted at all.

Still though, with the noodles being the main attraction, there's always some sort of queue at their stall.

Love the noodles, now if they perfected the char siew and wonton, it just might become the BEST wonton noodles store in Singapore.

Uncle...come on leh..some effort...EFFORT!!!
