Manic Tuesday

So the one week break has already begun and I haven't exactly had a day to myself to zzzzzzzzz yet.

Things have been moving along fast now that the Super Yoyo campaign in just around the corner. Everyone's been ass-stressed about it, what with all the last minute details being given by the supplier and what not.
Tuesday though, the guys finally managed to make their way down to Megcorp's office to do a short demo for them regarding the performance they'll be doing around town.
It was quite a relief to see that things were going pretty well though there were some concerns regarding the salesmanship of the players. In the past, the guys never had to worry about selling the product, Adrian made it clear that our guys were professional players, not professional promoters. Now however, with the need to train more of the kids to be able to speak up in front of a crowd, Colin figured the campaign would be a good time for everyone to learn abit of sales talk and ultimately speak confidently in front of the public.

I wasn't really happy with how the suppliers gave this responsibility of salemanship to the kids, whom some aren't exactly good speakers...I didn't want the suppliers to one day fire back at us for not being able to sales-talk the crowd, afterall they came looking for yoyo-masters, not salesmen. It wouldn't be fair to go up to a bakery-specialist and ask the chef to fry char kway teow, then later scold the chef for not frying up a good plate of kway teow...no? If the baker makes a half-ass bun...now that's a different story.

But after seeing Colin's point of view though, I guess after some thought I get it, maybe it is time for the kids to learn abit of confident speaking, a lot of them these days either talk alot and don't know when to stop, while some talk too little and don't know how to voice out. Hopefully this campaign will help a few gain their confidence.

SPEAKING OF CHAR KWAY TEOW...

We later headed out to Geylang nearby to settle for some Beef Horfun which Lionel had suggested.
I've heard about the place before but never really got about trying it until today.
I have to be honest though, this is pretty good! I'm not one to really indulge in beef horfun, I'd either stick to the regular one of go for deer meat...slightly more expensive but not as tough as beef in my opinion.

The sauce was good though, hit the spot for me, and the spice was just nice, enough to burn a lil, but not linger to give u that sweaty feeling.

Damn all this talk is making me hungry...=(
