HFTP Conference 2009

So for the past 2 days I found myself down in school at the masters classroom attending the HFTP conference which Jasmine had invited the bunch of us to join.
I initially wasn't a big fan of it, to be honest I'm not even a HFTP member, but I figured it couldn't hurt to see, plus Jasmine needed support so I guess it was the right thing to do as a friend =)

Plus not to mention it was a great opportunity to play with my camera!
I love 20x zoom, and the more I use it the more I really think I had a good deal with this one even though it isnt a DSLR. at ISO400, some of the shots came out rather unexposed and orangy though...the ones above were some I really did like.
The regular landscape shots were prettydecent, like ur average digital camera though, no Depth of Field here. Oh and dear ar, apparently Joanne told Stephanie about u the other day too. lol
Another camera that was at the conference that day was this one! a Canon G9!!!
Owned by this guy, Steven Stout, director of events for HFTP, I think i got the designation right. hm. He's only 30 and he's already made it to the top, plus he's one hellava humble person and a family guy fanatic as well. It's great talking to top management when they act and think the same way you do cause the age gap isn't so far apart.
I think one of the biggest highlights was the welcome reception held at the Pod. It was my second time up there and this time round I had a camera to play with!!!
With better lighting, I put my camera into more good use =Oh and guess who popped by? =)
Same old hair cut, 5 kg lighter, with pants that require tightening to fit his waist.
I thought the 2 day conference was a great event, with a lil hiccups here and there, but overall well put together.
I think you can tell from this picture that Jasmine was hella tired with all that was going on, not to mention while organizing this, she and Ray had to deal with Apac CHRIE at the same time. pffft.
Anyway, one person who had to leave on the first day was Yvonne Kwek, who, sadly had to head home at the last minute due to her grandmother's passing. Hope thing's are going well for her.

Sucks to lose a loved one, I still can rmb my grandfather...4 yrs ago seems like yesterday.

K la I hate ending entries with such terrible notes...so to side track...
Colin bought a new Macbook Pro, and it isnt even the lower end one, it's the better equipped version. wah kns damn jealous!

K still a terrible ending, just slightly better.

meh.
