Torino

I've checked out two movies recently, both of very different genres but have one thing in common.
The Ford Gran Torino, a muscle car I never really read much about (Then again I don't really read up about any muscle car to begin with, I prefer tuners in general), but saw it in the recent Fast and Furious movie, as well as Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino.

Apparently the 72 version and a few others have problems with durability, hence their not so popular in muscle car culture unlike these:

I feel like a overgrown kid writing about cars and what not. Fact is, I am a petrolhead, without my own car, such is the case for most Singaporean Guys. lol.

It's sad that there are no muscle cars in Singapore, although I did come across one at Pan Pacific a few years back, a 2000 Ford Mustang Cobra R, left hand drive. I thought it was really cool though it probably cost a fortune to maintain it locally without a proper supplier for parts. Not an old traditional model from the 1900s, but still a pretty good ride in my opinion.
Honestly I dunno why I'm writing about this.

I'm just saying.

Reason why no muscle cars in SG? Singaporeans prefer Jap cars. High like hell road tax for 3L and above cars. Plus COE means 10yr death for most cars. How to find 70's muscle cars if most car dun live beyond 7yrs in sg? Sigh....
