The big MUNCH, and all other random things...

I've been neglecting this blog since Wednesdays. I figured ever since I started writing for the spinworkx blog, I now spend less time looking at mine.

But anyway here's a recap of the food photos I found inside my camera phone this week. =)
I brought Xinn to Wishbone, the family run restauarnt down at Bukit Timah Plaza the other day. They used to be pretty famous for their chicken rice, which to me rivaled the Meritus Mandarin one, until recently when their quality of the chicken they use began to turn inferior. Still, the rice and soup are enough to turn heads. =)
I had Ayam Penyet...er....some time...this? or was it last week? Wait...yes...last week. I hadn't had it in awhile, and really enjoyed it, I wonder why I even stopped having it for a few months. =\
Crystal Jade Hong Kong cafe was what I had a week later with Chestine, Debs, Kelly, Sophie, Ray and Sherwin. I never really had their steamed stuff before, and really preferred their fried rice with duck meat...but I had that a few days back after WCC with Colin, Mel, Sandra, Sharon, Al and Xinn so I figured I'd try something else. If you like Steamed rice with meat and what not, I think this is pretty good, could use a lil more sauce though.
I was at Kovan the other day and saw this. Otah buns! $1 a piece, how can don't try right? Turned out I didnt like it at all. Not that I had otah, but having something soft and mushy squished between two equally soft and mushy buns don't exactly give you any form of texture when you bite into it....it tasted good, but the whole texture feel to it was quite a turn off.
Astons has finally opened in Suntec btw. Nuff said, I don't even need to go into the details of Ribeye steaks that cost below $20....just try it =)
I had dinner on Friday with Colin, Xinn, Mel, Sandra, Brandon and Zen. I haven't had Carl's Junior in a long time, and the time when I finally did go down, they didn't have fried zuchinni...pfft.

Oh I caught Grand Torino the other day, I told you guys about it already, but I haven't mentioned the crowd that was packed in the new mall opposite Bugis when some celebrity from American Idol came down to do a performance.
It sucks to know that no matter how much I love Hiphop, you'd never see a crowd like this welcome the likes of Snoop Dogg or Pharrell Williams...sigh....
I was at Parkway Parade the other day with Xinn when we walked by this place that caught my attention. Gym? I decided to peek inside and have a look.
If I were 8 yrs old, this would be heaven for me! Ball-Pool...things to climb onto, into, around and under...I'd go berserk!!! If only they made such places for adults...

I recently bought a new toy from a guy who sold it for $169 off. Apparently it was still in brand new condition and had 12 more months to go in terms of warranty, so I just had to get it, plus I always wanted to mess with functions, which I got around trying!
I seriously like the 20x zoom, this shot was taken from the 11th Storey of the National Library =)
Because it was wide angle, it had a sort of a rounding effect around the edges of the camera, which I liked as well...lol, not much of a selling point but hey...still nice mah.

One thing I really liked the most is the ability to open the shutter longer to let in more light, which I really wanted cause you could never get that in a regular canon ixus.

One good example would be my new banner! Which as you can see, has less noise than the previous one I had up about 2-3 days back. =)
The last shot was taken by Xinn outside Suntec while crossing the bridge...iso80, 3.2 second shutter speed...nice eh? =)

I like the camera although besides being fun with functions, as you can see, has pretty much the same color quality as a regular Canon Ixus...thus DSLRs are still worth the money you pay for it since it can get you way better pictures...like this!
Taken right out from Paul Seow's facebook, a friend of Colin's, during his trip to India. Ain't that a nice shot? I definitely thought it was.

Anyway it's 1:30...I'm gonna climb into bed.

Haven't read up my Chinese History yet.

Sigh.

no la, $169 off, so it is $600 isntead of $769. HAHA.

But for $200 you can get a decent G7 series Canon camera which is also very impressive for that price =)
