Back to School

As though handling kids at the American Club wasn't enough, Tuesday, Colin and I headed down to Elias Park to teach a bunch of students who had picked up a yoyo program with Spinworkx where Colin would spend about 2 hours every Tuesday teaching a bunch of kids how to play with a yoyo.

But really though, one of the main reasons I wanted to help out was cause I missed eating at primary school canteens....THERE I SAID IT. =)
I mean, wow, when was the last time you had chicken chop that only cost $1?!?!?!?!?! or Cup Corn that was priced at 60 cents?????
LOOK AT MY BOWL!
For $3, I had 4 meatballs, 5 halved shrimps, a pile of char siew, 3 wontons and lots of fishcake!!!

OMG!!!

And it's not like they tasted bad...they tasted very....er....very primary school I guess? Different from kopitiams...but who cares?!?!?! A bowl like mine outside would hit $6!!!

I even ate a sandwich that came with egg mayo and half a pepper chicken burger patty for just 80 cents!!!

I'm totally looking forward to the next lesson...I'm already thinking of what food to eat and how much it might end up costing as compared to outside....

KNS. Now you are thinkin of school canteens. Okay la, if can, I smuggle you to St Nicks for orange bowl. The most heavenly primary school canteen stall. :D

For $2.50 you can get MORE than that at the NIE canteen if Mel orders it for you because he eats at the noodle stall every single day.

AND being a teacher means canteen food all through your career. TAKE THAT!
