It's Over!....NOW what?

It's the holidays again. After another 7 weeks of brain-busting gut-wrenching hair-pulling face-punching finger-nose-digging modules, it's Spring Break =)

Doesn't mean the fun's begun though...there's still Apac CHRIE work to get going with. sigh.

On a much. less. depressing note.

I got myself a new pair of shoes!!!

Remember how I wanted something ELSE for daily wear as compared to my nike P-Rods? Well I had always been eyeing the new Vans Half Cabs special editions that apparently aren't making it's way to Singapore anytime soon...
Aren't they a beauty?

Well I went for the other option and got myself a pair of Vans Chukka "Real Deal" edition black shoes instead.
I like em, and I had noticed them before but never really considered them until Hans brought it up during conversation once and I began to slowly pay more attention to it.

Their size US8.5, which is small for most men but kinda big for me since my feet are...er...US size 8s. =\ Still, nothing a thick pair of socks couldn't handle. I've sent mail to Limited Ed to see if I can get replacements from their stock at Peninsular Plaza but I doubt they'd be mailing me anytime soon.

Additional Pressies.

Yvonne popped by sthe student managers corner on Friday and handed me this before she headed for her exams. I thought it was quite surprising, but nonetheless very thoughtful =)
I was debating with Xinwei and Germaine if these were Cupcakes...or Muffins....so I came to the rationale that Cupcakes stay within the "cup" while muffins spill over from the sides (hence muffin top).

Xinn's conclusion is that Cupcakes are not sweet, and normally have icing on top to add up for it's lack in taste. so in her opinion these are muffins since they had chocolate chip.

So I hereby conclude that these are Mufcakes or Cupfins. Some new product Yvonne had apparently made up. =)

Still, they were tasty so thanks a lot for them! =)
Anyway while I'm at it I'd like to thank the classmates who got me this as well as Xinn who arranged for me a Conrad Hazelnut Crunch cake, which I didn't have time to take a photo since I was busy gobbling it up. Yums.

Claypot Laksa

I've always wanted to try it, never had a reason to go there until Friday when I headed to Queensway to look for my shoes.
Apparently Leslie Tay's blog had given a write up on this a long while back and I figured I'd give it a try, but never did find a good reason to go down anyway.
Xinn and I shared a bowl. If you ask me, I think it's really good, although some what a lil like Katong Laksa...but no complains here...I really loved it since it came with laksa ingredients like Tau Pok as well.

Anyway for those who don't know yet, I HATE laksa...well....your regular ones at least...too watery...not thick, so plain...on the other hand Katong Laksa and this Claypot variation is delicious, and definitely worth going for again in future. =)

It's almost 1am. I gotta meet Colin and Hans tomorrow for some show. Time to sleep and get well.

Night peeps. =)
