I realized I havent really BLOGGED about food in quite awhile, I blog about food, but I never really blogged...er....really detailed I guess? Then again my food stuff I talked about have never been very very thorough...afterall I don't intend to write a food blog anyway, this is MY blog. =)
Anyway I figured I'd start by talking about 2 really unique places I went in the past 2 days.
One came in the form of a vegetarian-loving restaurant called the Loving Hut.

It's actually located at the same floor as the sky garden and it's among the row of shops at where Kuishinbo is.
Basically the place took over the old Indinine vegetarian restaurant and now sells your typical brown-rice vegetarian chinese stuff, as well as some simple western dishes like nuggets, burgers, pasta...mind you this is a vegetarian restaurant =)

I was mending the Spinworkx shop on Sunday and figured I'd drop by for dinner and give it a try, so I ordered their curry which came with brown rice and some veg, as well as their vietnam-style spring roll that came kinda late, about 10 mins into my maincourse.

I think the vegetarian curry was pretty ok, it's really your typical stuff you could probably find at the Fortune Tower at Rocher Road, the Vietnamese spring roll was ok too, with a mock piece of luncheon meat stuffed inside for taste...only thing was that there was no taste other than the over powering coriander leaves they had put inside...lol.
Basically put it, I like the curry, didnt really fancy the spring rolls. I wasn't a big fan of the brown rice either, I like my rice white, but I definitely liked the veg that came with it =)
I had nuggets the other day too and they were pretty impressive, basically u get breaded flour on the out side, and mashed up beancurd skin on the inside...unique eh?

Another unique place I went today was at Far East Plaza, the last place I thought I'd find myself in awhile. I don't usually go there unless I got a good reason to, and this time round I was hunting for a pair of simple shoes for myself. If you've read you'll know I've recently purchased a pair of Nike P-rods, but I don't wanna wear those shoes all the time, so I figured buying a cheaper shoe for every day wear might be a good idea as well.

Anyway the place sells shaved ice....I've tried it somewhere before I swear! It's not just sth I would have tasted overseas, I'm pretty sure I've had it locally before, just not in this form.

If dessert is your thing, this place is probably one you might wanna go check out. They got Mango served on shaved milk ice like the one Xinn and I shared. They even got Grape-flavored shaven ice w aloe vera toppings....a breakfast-style dessert as well.
Heck they even got a chocolate and banana one which I think Colin will go crazy over. =)
Anyway it's located on the basement near the place where Long John's used to be.
You can check out their
Website for more details about their place.
K it's 1:45, about time for me to zzzzzzzzzzz.
Night ppl =)
