So much for wanting to write about a pretty decent week..BLEAH!
15 mins ago, my phone bailed on me.
First, the back and delete button wouldn't work, and I thought it was just a minor fluke, so i switched it off and turned it on again.....
nothing.
Button's still broken.
What the hell...
So I took out the battery and looked at the Sim card.
My gosh! When did rust began to form???
So being the itchy handed person I am, I scratched off the greenish corroded portion of the card and slot it back in.
Unknowingly, I scratched off what's left of the copper plate! =(
Well, just one side, but thats all it takes to prevent the sim card from connecting! =(
Does anyone know if it'll be possible for me to retrieve all my data fro mthe sim card and get a new card as well???? If so how much and how long???
Ok wow I just managed to revive the sim card!!!
By twisting out the copper plate on my phone though.....
But omg the the buttons won't work!
could it be? Is it time??????
Do I hear Sony Ericsson K850i????
What??? $898???
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
INJUSTICE MAN!!!!!!!!
Singtel no plan yet??
OMG! thats even worse!!!!!!!
Sigh.
Anyway let's stop bitching about the phone and talk about my week...
work's been quite hectic recently, since I've been doing split shifts regularly at the restaurant to earn some extra cash to spend.....
Currently I just checked my expense excel sheet and I'm already at $600+ when I only made $500 last month.
Hopefully these extra hours of work will mean better pay for the next month ahead.
I did manage to find time and play ard with my brother's camera though..took some really nice shots during my break time on monday...
I went home on tuesday and decided to stop by Bukit Timah market for a much missed plate of Fried Carrot Cake....YUM!!!!
and oh, there's my phone, still lookin good...sigh.
Tuesday sucked, cause it rained and I couldnt attend the drift meet...well in all fairness no one could attend thanks to the rain.
Wednesday I had a meet up with the guys from the HSMAI initial team.
We had lunch at Clarity Cafe near sch while waiting for everyone to arrive.
Gosh I never knew of any restaurant that's brighter than this one!
lol
I ain't gay dammit, I just find this picture really interesting...haha.
I must say the food was DAMN good, and for $14 per person since we shared, it was ALOT!!!!!
although lunch was filling, I was STARVING.....
Ha, I later bumped into Hamdan at Peninsular SC and hung out with him at Long John's before he sent me home on his bike.
Thursday! I finally got myself new shoes!!!!!
Well, two actually, one from Sleese and another from Etnies.
the sleese cost only $25 and I bought them cause I use them for work, I didnt wanan wear out my good pair of etnies on the rough surface at the restaurant...2 months there and I'll be changing another pair of $85 shoes... no no no.
One of these days I'm gonna take duct tape, do a Brazilian wax on the remaining fake leather skin, and repaint that area dark brown.
As for this pair in the picture, I'm keeping them for sch, or for when till my vans finally give way. =)
Chef Wei Li from Black Angus bought this for her son and asked me to build it for her today in time for Christmas...I'm halfway done, haven't done such a thing in ages...lol really interesting. =)
I'm nolonger into Zoids though, I used to love them as a kid, although I never got about building my own, they were always made by my cousins...I think, I was too young to remember. =P
I also took time today during my break to check out MeiDi Ya at Liang Court.
I really like going to the place, though the things are pricey, it's nice to just walk around and look at what Singapore's top japanese supermarket has to offer.
What I really enjoy is checking out their food section at the supermarket, where I picked up this really nice looking pasta salad...
My gosh it was so good!!!!!!! pricey though, for $2.60, that's all I'm getting....the noodles could have been a bit more...Al dente? Still, a really nice tasty treat indeed, a lil wasabi flavor as well as crunchy bits of cucumber to add texture to the salad.
YUM.
Maybe I'll go back there again tmr to try something else.....
Oh wait...no...handphone problem first.
Sigh...guess I'll have to deal with it tmr.
Takecare ppl, cheers!@
