Out and About

I haven't been posting in quite a while.

School's been quite a bitch, there are lesser modules but the subjects are heavier than they used to be. pffft.

Hans turns 22

Anyway Wednesday we hung out with Hans to celebrate his 22nd birthday and had dinner at Subway. Colin managed to buy him balloons at Middle Road's party shop while I waited in the car for him and Xinn to prep the stuff at the party shop...random side note, Jim Gu walked passed that area at around 7 plus that evening! He even walked into one of the shops!!!! hahaha omg!

Ok where was I?...oh yeah...RIGHT
After subway, Colin had decided to bring Hans down to Eskibar since he had mentioned wanting to go check out the place for quite some time now.
I felt cheated when I walked into the place, cause I had initially thought the entire place was ice-cold but it turned out only the front portion of it was and the back was just a regular pub.

Then again thank goodness it was just a regular pub, I mean, damn it was really cold in the freezer-section where the guys sat for quite abig acting macho and seeing who would initiate the idea to get back to their seats..lol.
Lets see now, who went....we had Colin, Hans, Melvin, Sandra, Sharon, AL, Xinn and I...pretty medium size group.

Sharon even took the initiative to get Hans a cake, which made him feel a bit bad cause he wasn't too fond of birthdays, but still it was a nice gesture and we enjoyed celebrating it at the bar. =)

HDR Photography

Melvin and Sandra had been messing around with HDR images for quite some time now, I'm not gonna explain to you what that is, go google "HDR Images" and find out for yourself, why bother telling you what it's about when there are 234214398104839081 over sites out there that will do that for you?

Anyway I got hooked onto it and tried some on my own...although instead of doing it the conventional way(using 3 photos of different exposure), I downloaded photomatix which could fake a HDR image using just one photo.

And this is what I got!
CHANG!!! You camera should be able to pull this off even better than mine!!!! Go google it, you can do the manual version on Photoshop CS3, just make sure you have a camera and a place that's table enough to put it on and take photos! =)

Farewell dinner with the neighbourhood boys.

Zhirong called me up at around 4 plus today inviting me down to the warehouse office for a last minute BBQ to see Ah Soon and Raymond off, one moving back to Malaysia for good and the latter flying off to Aussie to study.
I basically have 3 sets of friends I hang quite often with...the ones at UNLV, the guys at the Spinworkx yoyo store and These guys.

All 3 are very different clicks if you ask me, and are unique in their own way, there are no favorites, I love all of their company, but I doubt they'd click if they were in the same room...lol.
Yuan He and JJ apprently were the evening's "Gay" couple, sharing the same piece of chicken tigh, drinking from each other's cups and wrestling each other down, they call it fighting, we call it "making out"...haha.
Apparently the alluminum tray we had wasn't strong enough and gave way...and since our bbq was done at the back of a lorry(yes! Lorry!), the charcoal ate into the paint and it started to smell for a bit...but us being guys didn't really care, let the chemicals burn away first, and continued cooking.
Morris was the youngest member in our group tonight...they kid's a kid, and when he's around us he prolly hears some of the nastiest things that come out of our mouths....bad influence? Hm...I think the logic I once heard from Steve Brown was that "There isn't a vulgar word which a kid at the age of 4 hasn't heard of yet"...and I totally agree...rather than to prevent it, I think it's better to let them understand and be responsible with their words when around different ppl. When hanging out with my neighbourhood clicks, there were swear words bursting out almost every minute....heh.

Anyway he was nice to hang around and help us out with the cooking and preparation, he's a good kid, knows when to behave and not try too hard to be "one of us".

I had to leave early cause I got a stupid first aid course tmr, and look, here I am blogging when I should be sleep.

Baah.

K i'm out, cheers ppl.

Andrew
